Lets Talk about The O.G.
So I love my wedding dress. I got married in 2002. Still love it. I have had 2 children, gained at least 50-60lbs since then, so much has happened. My first born is going to graduate, my youngest is learning to drive this year, my wedding dress is so far in the rear view. I STILL LOVE HER. I have promised all of my practice brides that I would get into a dress too, and why not my absolute ideal? My dress is The Original Gangster, The OG for short. It's an organza tulle ball gown Emmanuel with a basque waist and spaghetti straps. It had a detatchable train, that was cathedral length, alllllll the drama. It's been in a box all this time, in a vacum sealed bag then carboard and covered in packing tape. I am not sure I remember saying anything about this but I washed it after I got it out, there is just some deodorant yellowing in the pits I couldn't get out. This monster is a huge dress, one load for the dress, one load for the train.
This is the dress in action.

Look at all that clutter behind me! I got rid of the piano finally, we are all organized right now, it can get to be a tight squeeze at times. I held the back together as much as I could and my husband measured the top of the gap, it's 7 inches. It's never been let out, and it had some darts in the arm pits. So I did let it out, That gave me a good inch on either side, but I needed more room so I took out the zipper and put in a corset back with a modestly panel. This dress was all over the place while I wrestled with it, a couple times it grabbed thread out of a machine while being wrestled with.
Crinoline EVERYWHERE. I still love her.
I finished what I needed to do to taker her out, I tried it on, It's ready to go and all steamed now. I did not take final pictures yet but I will! We are having a best day ever party, and all of the models and I are going to wear their dresses next month. There will be tons of pics, and a post on the whole party. Stay tuned, but I wanted you to know THE OG is back.
