Show and tell holiday chaos edition
So I HAVE been in my studio working. I have been sand bagging a lot of my pics to make before and after posts but I am having a hard time connecting the dress to the models, getting supplies, and my life keeps rolling with the crazy Christmas season mom stuff. There will be plenty of stuff to do now the snow is falling but me and all of my girls gotta get to the finish line, Christmas completion. Here is some of this last few weeks.
So this is my crazy life, everything in the background but I steamed and fixed Dirty Maggie, that dress is enormous. I did my first ballroom bustle. In between laundry loads as you can see in the next room. I hemmed it and patched her hole. Pics to follow as I connect with my schedule after the holiday. It will have it's own separate post.
I shorted a torso on a knit dress for a young lady with scoliosis. I think it looks good even if my inner thread isn't a match. I can't wait for this try on, she's going to look amazing.
I have also been making gifts. I can't post all of them, because some I might get found out. I made the guys try on their jammie pants to hem them right, but I did all 3 of these in a morning yesterday. I HATE fleece. My nose runs and gets itchy and it feels like it's all over me, and this is with washing them before cutting. EW. They are soft though and I love my boys. I don't know if you can see that green hat or not. But it's cold here where we live, and it didn't cover his ears. I sewed a beanie to the inside of this to cover his ears with elastic thread, The wind didn't knock it off! We have had a parade a weekend for the last couple weeks there is another one today. I love being a band mom, I loved being in band in highschool, this keeps me out of my studio but it's awesome.
And finally, CJ pictured left had been dreaming of a white Christmas, and Dutch on the right he just wants world peace and cheese sticks.
