Tricky is another FB market place wonder gown. I wonder what I was thinking! It was a steal though, next to nothing and there happens to be another willing volunteer friend I can use as a model. I have such good friends! So this dress has my model swimming. WAY too big, and covered in beading, challenge accepted.
This dress is a chiffon like material with a lining. I pinned her up and determined a shoulder raise 2 inches, a take in on the side seams 2 inches each side, and we need to take the zipper in 4 inches. The sleeves are 2 inches too long as is. I did all the alterations, including removing beading and saving it to repopulate when I am all done. The sleeves are still off and I am waiting to do a second fitting to check the armscye fit now that its been hoisted up. I named her tricky, for lots of reasons, but the best reason is RunDMC, I have had that stuck in my head like an ear worm the whole time I worked on it.... And now so do you.
These are all my friends that have busy lives, so I have a lot of part 1's in progress, that way the fun doesn't stop for anyone. Now we do second fitting, and figure out the trick to sleeves, shoulders and armscye. Welcome TRICKY to be continued.
